The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2002 video game) is an action-adventure game developed by WXP Games for the Xbox, and by Surreal Software for the PlayStation 2 and PC.
It's based directly on J.R.R. Tolkien's The Fellowship of the Ring novel rather than the Peter Jackson film adaptation. As a result, it features characters, locations, and events from the book that are absent in the movies.
