MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
Mythlore is the journal of the Mythopoeic Society, founded in January 1969 by Glen GoodKnight, the Society's founder. It began as a fanzine with articles, art and poetry, absorbed the Tolkien Journal of the Tolkien Society of America, and became a peer-reviewed scholarly journal in 1999. Janet Brennan Croft has edited it since 2006.
It covers Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Charles Williams and mythopoeic literature in general, in two issues a year, and the whole run from the first issue can be read for free on the Digital Commons of Southwestern Oklahoma State University, with a downloadable index of everything published. More than fifty years of Tolkien criticism, free to read.
