In **The Two Towers**, the Fellowship is scattered. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli pursue Merry and Pippin, who escape their orc captors and rally the Ents to attack Saruman's stronghold at Isengard.
Gandalf returns as Gandalf the White and helps lead Rohan to victory at the Battle of Helm’s Deep. Meanwhile, Frodo and Sam continue their journey to Mordor, guided by the treacherous Gollum. As they draw closer to Mount Doom, the threat of Sauron grows, and the fate of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.
In the aftermath of the breaking of the Fellowship, The Two Towers chronicles the divergent paths of the remaining members as they struggle to continue their quest to defeat Sauron.
