MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
The Encyclopédie de Tolkiendil is the French-language encyclopedia of Tolkien's world, kept by the Tolkiendil association. It grew out of the Encyclopédie d'Ardalië and of the articles of J.R.R. Tolkien en VF, two fan sites of the late 1990s, and took the Encyclopedia of Arda as its model before finding its own form. Its content is in French.
The articles are deliberately short and complete, on characters, places, peoples, objects and events, and since 2017 they use the names of Daniel Lauzon's new translation of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, with Francis Ledoux's older names given on each page. The place to find out whether Bilbo is a Sacquet or a Bessac.
