MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
TolkienBooks.net, An Illustrated Tolkien Bibliography, is Neil Holford's catalogue of the British editions of Tolkien's writings from 1910 to 2010, online since 2003. Built as a companion to Wayne G. Hammond's Descriptive Bibliography, it shows a picture of almost every book with its edition, publisher, format, ISBN and later printings.
The site is split by period, from the early poems and papers on Old English to The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and the posthumous books, plus boxed sets and the books on Tolkien's languages. It won the Tolkien Society's award for Best Website in 2015. The scope stops at 2010 by design; American editions are on its sister site TolkienBooks.US.
