MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE

Tolkien Studies

Description

Tolkien Studies: An Annual Scholarly Review is the academic journal of Tolkien scholarship, published every year since 2004 by West Virginia University Press. It was founded by Douglas A. Anderson, Michael D.C. Drout and Verlyn Flieger, and is now edited by Drout, Yvette Kisor and David Bratman. Each volume brings articles, book reviews, a survey of the year in Tolkien studies and a bibliography, and the journal has also printed texts by Tolkien himself, such as The Chronology of The Lord of the Rings in 2022.

It is not free: the volumes are read on Project MUSE, through a library or by buying the articles, or on paper. For the research itself, this is where it is.
