MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
A collection edited by Alida Becker and published by Running Press in Philadelphia in 1978. It brings together essays, poems, stories, songs, recipes, puzzles and a crossword about Tolkien and his books, by many authors, with short quotations from Tolkien himself.
It is illustrated in colour by Tim Kirk and in black and white by Michael Green, and ends with a bibliography and a fan's reading list. It gives a good picture of Tolkien fandom in the 1970s. It was reprinted in 1989 as The Tolkien Treasury.
