MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
The Lord of the Rings: Conquest (2009) is an action game developed by Pandemic Studios and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows, with a separate Nintendo DS version. Built in the spirit of Pandemic's Star Wars: Battlefront games, it lets players fight as warriors, archers, scouts or mages, and take control of heroes such as Aragorn, Gandalf or the Witch-king.
The War of the Ring campaign loosely follows the major battles of Peter Jackson's films, from Helm's Deep to the Pelennor Fields, with added levels in Moria and at Minas Morgul. The Rise of Sauron campaign tells what might have happened if Frodo had failed and Sauron had reclaimed the Ring. Both are narrated by Hugo Weaving, Elrond in the films, and the soundtrack is Howard Shore's score.
Fight on the front line of the War of the Ring as the soldiers and heroes of Middle-earth, or switch sides and help Sauron conquer it.
