MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
The Tolkien Experience Podcast grew out of the Tolkien Experience Project, in which Luke Shelton has been collecting the stories of Tolkien readers since 2018. Hosted by Luke Shelton and Dr. Sara Brown, in partnership with The Prancing Pony Podcast, it asks each guest the same questions about how Tolkien entered their life.
Its 53 episodes, released between 2020 and 2023, feature guests such as Dimitra Fimi, Brian Sibley and Donato Giancola, and the show won the Tolkien Society Award for Best Online Content in 2021. It is no longer releasing new episodes, but it remains a great archive of conversations between the fan and scholarly communities.
