Ardalambion

Description

Ardalambion, Of the Tongues of Arda, is Helge Fauskanger's site on Tolkien's invented languages, online since 1997 and the introduction through which a generation of fans learnt Quenya. It has an article on every language, from Quenya and Sindarin to Adûnaic, Khuzdul, Entish, Valarin and the Black Speech, a full Quenya course, wordlists, word-by-word analyses of the texts and the Speak Elf Yourself video lessons.

Little has been added in recent years and his Neo-Elvish reconstructions are contested by the Elvish Linguistic Fellowship, but it is still clear, free and complete. It moved to ardalambion.net in 2023 when the University of Bergen closed its personal pages.
