MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
The Encyclopedia of Arda is a personal project started by Mark Fisher in 1997, and one of the oldest Tolkien reference sites still online. It holds about four thousand illustrated entries on the people, places and things of Middle-earth, written in a clear and readable way.
Beyond the entries, it offers an interactive chronicle of the history of Arda, a calendar that converts the dates of the Shire, a lexicon of names, a glossary of old and rare words used by Tolkien, maps and movie-goer's guides to the films.
