MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
Mallorn is the peer-reviewed journal of the Tolkien Society, published since October 1970, when it replaced the Society's first newsletter, Belladonna's Broadsheet. It is sent to members once a year and holds articles by Tolkien scholars, research notes, reviews of new books and films, and artwork from Tolkien artists. The Society's Best Article award went to Mallorn pieces in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
On the journal's website every past issue is free to read as a PDF, except the issues of the last two years, which are kept for members. A good way to see what British Tolkien fandom has been thinking about for half a century.
