Journal of Tolkien Research

Description

The Journal of Tolkien Research is a peer-reviewed, open access journal of Tolkien studies hosted by Valparaiso University in Indiana and edited by Bradford Lee Eden. Launched in 2014, it publishes articles as soon as they pass review and bundles them into yearly volumes, now at volume 24, with no paywall: anyone can read and download the articles.

It covers Tolkien's texts, languages, sources and adaptations, with book reviews of new Tolkien scholarship, and it won the Tolkien Society Award for Best Online Content in 2016. Where the fan sites stop, this is where the research continues.
