MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
The Lord of the Rings: Tactics (2005) is a tactical role-playing game developed by Amaze Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts for the PlayStation Portable. Although it features Tolkien's characters, it is a direct adaptation of Peter Jackson's films, and the heroes look like their movie counterparts.
Battles take place on a grid where all units move at the same time, and a Zone of Control system forces characters who stand next to an enemy to stop and fight, which can be used to trap the opponent. Players lead a handful of heroes who grow more powerful along with groups of warriors, and can play either as the Fellowship or as the minions of Sauron.
Lead the Fellowship, or the servants of Sauron, through the battles of the War of the Ring in this tactical game for the PSP.
