The Maps of Tolkien’s Middle-earth

Description

A boxed set by Brian Sibley, the writer and broadcaster who co-adapted The Lord of the Rings for BBC radio in 1981, and John Howe, one of the best known Tolkien illustrators and a concept artist on Peter Jackson's films.

It gathers four large fold-out maps painted by Howe: Middle-earth, Wilderland, Beleriand and a new map of Númenor, with a companion book by Sibley about the lands of The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings and The Silmarillion. It brings together three earlier map books by the same authors. It was published in 2003 by HarperCollins in the UK and Houghton Mifflin in the US.
