MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
Too Many Books and Never Enough is the weblog of Wayne G. Hammond and Christina Scull, husband and wife, book collectors and two of the leading Tolkien scholars: authors of The J.R.R. Tolkien Companion and Guide and The Lord of the Rings: A Reader's Companion, and editors of The Collected Poems of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Opened in November 2009, the blog publishes their addenda and corrigenda to those books, notes on new Tolkien editions and on book collecting, and pieces on their other interests such as Pauline Baynes and Arthur Ransome. It won the Tolkien Society Award for Best Online Content in 2018, and is still updated in 2026.
