MIDDLE-EARTH TIMELINE
Tolkien Collector's Guide is the meeting place of people who collect Tolkien's books. Started in 2006 by Jeremy Edmonds, it has a busy forum, news of new editions and auctions, and detailed guides to help identify printings, translations and rare items, such as its Guide to Tolkien Calendars and its Guide to Tolkien's Letters.
The site won the Tolkien Society Award for Best Website in 2019, and its Guide to Tolkien's Letters was nominated again in 2026. If you want to know which edition of The Hobbit is on your shelf, or what a deluxe edition really contains, this is the place to ask.
The forum and guides of Tolkien book collectors: editions, printings, calendars, letters and auctions.
